Audzētavu klepus - ObiDog

People can be divided into two categories. Some are those who know what kennel coughs are careful, and look at all the dogs that cough, the other those who have never heard of coughing cough.

What are kennel coughs?

Kennel cough is a highly contagious disease of the acute respiratory tract, which is acute and starts suddenly, and is usually characteristic of young dogs attending various public dog events (exhibitions, dog schools, etc.). Kennel cough manifests itself as a very atypical cough, which can often be confused with vomiting or choking. This usually happens suddenly, unexpectedly, without any foresight - the dog begins to cough. Cough is very heavy and does not occur. The longer the dog coughs, the more he is. The incubation period of the kennel klepum is usually 5-10 days. Kennel cough usually looks more terrible than it really is, it only affects the upper airways, where inflammation causes a huge irritation. As the dog coughs, it seems to be getting this unpleasant feeling, irritation out. The more and longer the dog coughs, the more airways are irritated, and so it is not easier to become. However, there are cases where this cough passes into pneumonia or other complications.

What to do if the dog starts coughing?

If the dog coughs but feels good, is active, cheerful, eats his food, wants to go walking, then probably not worried and the day, two wait, observe the situation. In general, it should move within 10-14 days. But if the cough is getting stronger, the dog is depressed, unhappy, and removes eaten food, then you have to go to the doctor.

Important!

If the dog has started coughing, please do not go to any public dog events!

How do the dog help?

The only way for a dog can help prevent is vaccination. You need to vaccinate the dog once a year and the vaccine drips into the nose. If the dog is ill, you can go to a veterinarian. Over -the -counter medications are available to soften cough. We cannot say that they help a lot, but at least there is a realization that something is being done. In case of illness, the dog must sit in self -insulation for two weeks!

End.

All of these viruses have one misfortune, and they can be covered with other two days before clinical signs appear. Kennel Klepum has no seasonality, it is very fond of places where a large number of dogs are circulating, so if you visit public places with your dog (exhibitions, dog school, etc.), our recommendation is to vaccinate at least young dogs in a timely manner. It is definitely cheaper than buying syrups and a visit to the veterinarian.
